Foot Pain
Treatment of Foot Pain for Residents of Warrenton, Centreville, Nokesville, Chantilly & Surrounding Areas

Dr. Bhakta can treat a number of podiatric conditions that cause foot pain, including:
- Neuromas – This condition occurs when an enlarged growth of nerves develops, typically between the third and fourth toes. Neuromas are commonly seen in women who wear high-heeled or improperly fitted shoes.
- Plantar fasciitis – The plantar fascia is the ligament that stretches from the base of the toes to the heel. Plantar fasciitis occurs when this ligament becomes inflamed because of overpronation (rolling the foot inward when walking), injury, or age-related changes to the anatomy of the foot.
- Arthritis – This condition occurs when the cartilaginous lining of the joints becomes inflamed, often because of normal wear and tear. Each foot contains 33 joints, making this part of the body especially susceptible to becoming arthritic.
Dr. Bhakta can evaluate your symptoms to determine which, if any, of these conditions is causing your foot pain. In the event that a diagnostic ultrasound or a foot or ankle X-ray is required to make a diagnosis, Dr. Bhakta can perform these tests right in his Gainesville, VA, office.
