Our Staff
Dr. Mukesh Bhakta has been in private practice since August 2000. His particular areas of interest include podiatric sports medicine, injuries and pediatrics. Most people are surprised to learn that about 20-25% of his patients are under 18 and 25% of his practice is heel pain. He has been playing sports his whole life and knows how many of the injuries feel (esp. heel pain- even gave himself a cortisone shot once) and what is best for healing. He works closely with The Running Store (no affiliation) for proper shoe fitting and gait analysis and other local vendors.
Dr. Bhakta is married with two children in elementary school. His wife is a Family Physician and practices in South Riding and Manassas. He really enjoys crosstraining, running, golfing and home improvement projects.
